📢 Amplification (AMP) Methods
Leverages third-party services to amplify the volume of network traffic against a target.
- DNS Amplification – Sends spoofed DNS requests to open resolvers.
- SSDP Amplification – Exploits Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) via M-SEARCH.
- NTP Amplification – Uses monlist or info queries to overload the target.
- Memcached Amplification – Spoofs UDP packets to reflect large responses.
- LDAP Amplification – Queries vulnerable LDAP servers to reflect and amplify.
- CLDAP Reflection – Variant of LDAP over UDP, highly potent.
- SNMP Amplification – Uses GetRequest packets to misconfigured SNMP endpoints.
- VSE Amplification – Abuses Valve Source Engine (game server) responses.
